The Rooted Collection is a celebration of where Blackthorn Jewels began — with a deep love for the raw, unexpected beauty found in nature.

Born from a long-time passion project during the quiet of pandemic confinement, Blackthorn grew from Saskatoon into something much bigger than we ever imagined. At the heart of every design is the natural world: raw semi-precious and precious stones, beads, crystals, and gems, each chosen for their colour, texture, movement, and unmistakable character.

Every piece is one of a kind. Nothing mass-produced. Nothing quite like the last.

And now, something born from nature is making its way to New York.

After an invitation to join Milan Fashion Week in 2025, Blackthorn was honoured to receive an invitation to showcase at New York Fashion Week 2026 with Flying Solo. On September 13th, eight jewellery sets from The Rooted Collection will take the runway, bringing Blackthorn's wild, organic aesthetic to one of fashion's biggest stages.

These pieces were made to be worn, but they were also made to be seen.

The Rooted Collection is our reminder that beauty doesn't need to be polished into perfection. Sometimes the most extraordinary things are the ones that grow wild.

All eight runway sets will be available for purchase live on runway day, alongside a selection of other one-of-a-kind Blackthorn Jewels pieces.
